About Great Lakes Steel Boat Club
Great Lakes Steel Boat Club (GLSBC) is a private boat club on the Detroit River opened in the 1960’s by Great Lakes Steel employees. The land GLSBC now sits on was the site of the June 7, 1958 launch of SS Edmund Fitzgerald. GLSBC is a member only club but does offer a public gas dock with marine fuel that is open weekend hours May – September. GLSBC also has a couple transient slips for those traveling down the river and need a place to moor. Please call on Channel 9 if you would like to enter the GLSBC harbor. Gas dock is closed for the 2024 boating season! See you in the Spring of 2025!
