Gjøvik Seilforening

Marina in Innlandet
Sailing association was founded in 1971. We have about 60 members with 30 boats. Our port facility is warm and idyllic in Fredevika 500 m south of Skibladnerbrygga by Gjøvik. The pier that protects the harbor from all wind directions was built of stone from the mountain hall that was built for the 1994 Olympics. Most members use the boats for pleasant trips on Lake Mjøsa with family and friends. Competitive activity varies somewhat. Some of the association's members participate in our club regattas on Wednesdays from mid-August until the end of September. In addition, we have competitions together with members from Hamar sailing association. The main event is the InterCity - the regatta which every other year starts from Gjøvik and ends at Hamar, with a passage south of Helgøya. This regatta collects approx. 20 boats. There is also a regular group that takes the boat to the Oslo Fjord and sails the Færderseilasen and Hovdan - Skagen race. We hope that more people will join our sailing environment, and that more people will have the opportunity to join and sail on Lake Mjøsa. If you want to try and sail, take a trip down to the harbor on a Wednesday and join as a crew on a boat. There is always someone who needs a crew Gjøvik Boat Harbor is centrally located in Gjøvik, right by Skibladnerbrygga. The harbor is divided into 2 harbors: Nyhavna and gamlehavna. Gamlehavna: Sailing in from the east, just south of Skibladnerhuset. Entry lights on both sides. Nyhavna: Sailing in between the jetty and breakwater, south of Gjøvik Lighthouse. Gjøvik Boat Harbor is located together with Skibladnerbrygga, Havnepuben and Skibladnerhuset. Guest seatsI n both ports, a total of 10-15 pcs. Mooring in Skibladnerhuset is not allowed.
