About Porto Foce di Varano
At 285 m from the mouth of the Varano river which feeds the lake of the same name, a quay with a few floating pontoons inside the basin was built, before the swing bridge. Dangers: shoals due to continuously moving sand dunes. Access: the entrance is dangerous with northerly winds, keep to the left side (almost always silted). The dock is officially managed by the Italian Naval League Section. Ischitella with 4 floating docks of 40 m each, equipped with water and electricity columns.
