A fishing port maintained by the city of Kokkola, with two large piers and six smaller piers for two boats. Only 3 seats marked on the dock (side seats) In the service building, there is a toilet, shower and reception of a chemical toilet. On the beach, there is a barbecue shelter and a landfill (mixed waste, metal, glass) and a bottle collection. Close to bar, caravan camping, beach, the fishing village (village of cabins) and fishermen's museum. A hall in the fishing port with a notice board on the wall. The port has a loading crane, wastebaskets, boat ramp, loading dock and lighting. SLEY Camp Center in Ohtakari.

The outlook upon arrival at the port is positive and the environment clean. The dock has electric poles, water intakes and bins on the beach.

M / S Jenny cruises to the Tankari Archipelago and Lighthouse Island also depart from Meripuisto. The marine park has many parking places and some boat berths for guests. The port is marked by a street marked with line signs, and the only object of monitoring are the incoming and outgoing water buses, so that they are not disturbed. These areas are strictly worth staying on the streets, unless you are a master of shipping. The protection in the harbor is good, except that the strong north wind can sway a bit.

There is a sign for the port, which deviates from the north direction when arriving just before Mustakari Street. The port of Elba is less than a couple of cables away from the street. At the end of the long pier, there are guest boat moorings for five boats. Mooring is done with a mooring buoy. The wind is somewhat adequate from the south, perhaps worse from the northeast direction. The light winds hardly shake the boats in the harbor, but a louder fan will at least control the mooring. There is a couple of meters of water in the port and just over two meters from the pier. Care must also be taken when moving around the Old Port area, as the bay is shallow in many places.

There are many different routes to the port, of which I chose the shorter and more sheltered west wind of about 8-9 m / s. The War of Hunger I went through was memorable and I decided to go eat somewhere civilized on a porcelain plate. Before the port there is an anchorage, after which I looked at the opening through which to enter. The harbor basin was sometimes closed at the opening and pumped out of the water and dredged to a uniform depth. The bottom is mostly mud, so stones are missing. The winds are very bad for the port.
